On Saturday 10th June we had our Big Birthday Bash to celebrate 40 years of working in the local area and what a fantastic day was had by all!!

The morning started off quite dreary but the sun was well and truly out by the afternoon! We were all delighted with how the day went and can be pretty sure that those who took the time out to come along really enjoyed it too.

Our Old School Café team, Broomhouse Café and Punjabi Junction provided some delicious food on the day which went down a treat!

There was an abundance of brilliant live entertainment with young people/staff past and present performing for the crowd. We also had Play Rangers, Edinburgh Leisure, face-painting and balloon making for the children. There were almost 300 people here to celebrate the memories and work of Canongate Youth and it was absolutely amazing to see everyone and hear some of their stories from across the decades!

A big thanks goes to all the staff, sessional staff and volunteers who put so much in to making the day a success, as well as a HUGE thank you to all of our supporters!!
